How to Update Order Status to Shipped

Created by Support Team, Modified on Tue, May 14 at 4:09 PM by Commerce Ship

When an order is fulfilled using CommerceShip, updating the status is crucial for keeping your store or marketplace synchronized. Here’s how the process works:

Syncing with External Order Sources:

  1. Automatic Updates:

    • When you process and ship an order synced from an external store or marketplace, CommerceShip automatically sends a status update back to the original order source.
  2. Status Change:

    • The order status in both CommerceShip and the external order source will be updated to "Shipped," maintaining consistency across your sales channels.

What You Need to Do:

  1. Process the Order:

    • Ensure the order is properly fulfilled and all shipping details are correctly entered in CommerceShip.
  2. Ship the Package:

    • Once the package is shipped, CommerceShip handles the rest by notifying the linked store or marketplace of the status change.

By following these steps, you can keep your order statuses synchronized and ensure smooth operations across your sales channels.
