If you need to void a shipping label, the process for receiving a refund is straightforward but varies depending on the payment arrangement you have with your carrier.
How Refunds Work
- Pre-Paid Labels: If you have paid for your shipping label upfront (e.g., USPS), you are eligible to receive a refund directly from the carrier after the label is voided. The timeframe for receiving the refund can vary by carrier but typically takes several days to process.
- Post-Paid Labels: For carriers where you are invoiced after shipping (e.g., carriers that bill you based on monthly usage), there will be no charge for the voided label on your next invoice. Since no upfront payment was made, no refund will be issued.
Important Notes
- Initiate a Void: To start the void process, you must typically void the label within a specific timeframe after creation, often within 24 hours. Check with your specific carrier for their exact policy.
- Monitor Your Account: Keep an eye on your account with the carrier to ensure that the refund is processed in a timely manner for pre-paid labels or that the charge is removed for post-paid labels.
We Don’t Handle Payments
Please note that our platform does not handle payments to carriers on behalf of shippers. All financial transactions, including refunds, are managed directly between you (the shipper) and your carrier.
